New this summer in Les Menuires and Saint Martin des Belleville

2 new circuits mountain biking trails
1. One starting from Saint Martin chairlift arrival to connect with the Grangeraies. With turns, bumps and forest passages.

2. The second trail starts from the parking of Cime Caron Cablecar and arrives to Les Menuires, closed to the Sunny Express chairlift.

,,Le Sentier du Berger ’’(the ,,shepherd trail’’): an easy level circuit. It starts from the Farm ,,Chez Pépé Nicolas’’ and forms a buckle (around 45 minutes). Perfect for a family walk.

Walks and treks for on foot or MTB

50 marked out paths
Nearly 50 marked-out paths (a total of 250 km) are available to walkers of all levels. From a family walk on the Lac du Lou paths to a high mountain trek on the Vallée’s glaciers, passing by an outing in the Grand Perron des Encombres, there is something for everyone .. alone, with the family or friends or with the Vallée des Belleville guides and mid mountain guides.

MTB is king !

Since summer 1998, Saint Martin, Les Menuires and Val Thorens is a "MTB/FFC area" , an official label awarded by the French cycling Federation.
La Vallée des Belleville has 21 marked-out itineraries for all levels, a total of 120 km of tracks. Certain of these itineraries are accessible using the ski lifts.

A map of the marked-out paths as well as a Topo Guide are available in the shops, Tourist Office and from the Guide’s Office.

The topo guide of pedestrian walks and MTB circuits in the Vallée des Belleville (12 €))

This topo guide is composed of 20 pamphlets, 17 covering the pedestrian walks and 3 the MTB circuits. On the back of each pamphlet an IGN map (scale: 1/25 000) gives the exact route, an illustrated description of the itinerary with photos and themed texts help one to understand what one sees on the ground .....

For your security

MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDERS, please be careful. Avoid cycling alone, inform someone of your chosen itinerary as well as what time you expect to return and stay on the marked out MTB tracks.

WALKERS, do not use the tracks reserved for mountain bikes.  They may arrive at high speed and cause a collision.
