Created in the middle of the 60s, the resort of Les Menuires has a contemporary architecture which is become more and more authentic.

While still staying loyal to its welcoming and functional image (ski from the doorstep resort), the resort of Les Menuires today has a new architectural landscape, made up of up-market chalets and residences, using traditional stone and wood.

The different quarters

To start with there were the sober and pure lines of La Croisette, Brelin, Preyerand, built with maximal functionality in mind.

Then the quarters of Les Bruyères and Reberty adopted a more traditional construction schema: buildings limited to a height of 6 stories, sloping roofs and wooden façades.

And, for the last 12 years, this more authentic mountain tendency has grown in amplitude: La Sapinière, Reberty 2000, Les Balcons des Bruyères, Les Hameaux des Marmottes and Les Airelles – whose architecture has been inspired directly from Savoyard buildings, integrating stone, wood and slate.

Comfort elements such as swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms or beauty institutes equip these new chalets, residences and hotels, bringing a new status to the resort and a more authentic landscape.

This large range of accommodation was completed in 2006 by the opening of a 4 star hotel Le Kaya, followed by the chalet hotel Isatis in 2007,  the 4 starred tourist residence MGM – CGH Les Clarines in December 2008, and the new 4 starred chalet Mont Vallon in 2011.

The sports and well-being centre, built in 2005, has 4500 m² of leisure area: Swimming pool, Aquaclub, Spa, Leisure and Sports, Get fit and Well-being.

A paradise for children

Children are well looked after in the "Piou Piou" villages which accept them from a very young age (3 months in the La Croisette Piou Piou Club, and from 31 months to 5 years old in both the La Croisette and Bruyères Piou Piou clubs)

Activities and leisure

In addition to skiing, you can choose to walk, on foot, on snowshoes or on cross country skis, to go on an outing on a snow scooter, quad or in a buggy, have a pause in the swimming pool, get fit in one of the fitness clubs,  slide down the tobbogan run, discover the Vallée des Belleville's heritage, or even just enjoy one of the evening classical concerts.
